Best Snack Ever with Wine

Ever invited your friends over for wine and wrestled over what kind of snacks to serve? Or maybe you just want to kick back with some wine and cheese for the evening but you feel like it just isn't enough? If you like avocado then you MUST try this snack recipe to pair with any wine. It's better with a red but it's still phenomenal with white. I got this from Reustle, a vineyard outside Portland, Oregon in the Prayer Rock Vineyards. They have a great vineyard and wine membership. Check it out if you so wish... wine@reustlevineyards.com. What's so great about this recipe? It's quick, easy, tastes delicious, and it'll make a wine's finish really pop. Plus you'll impress your guests!

AVOCADO CROSTINI

Ingredients:
1 loaf of Artisan bread (I prefer french bread because I'm on a tight budget)
Olive Oil (I don't even use this because you don't necessarily need it)
1 Package of Chevre at room temperature or microwave for 10 seconds to soften (This is goat cheese for those of you who are not cheese connoisseurs or don't look past the Kraft branded items. BUT brie or another french spreadable cheese works just as well if you don't like goat cheese.)
Ripe Avocados
Sea Salt and Fresh Ground Pepper

Instructions:
1) Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2) Cover both sides of bread with olive oil or leave dry and bake until crispy
3) Let the toasted bread cool and spread a thin layer of cheese on top
4) Top with thinly sliced avocado
5) Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt and/or ground pepper

VOILA! Pour yourself a glass of wine and enjoy!
